One Day Litchfield Park Adventures Tour
Pick up from accommodation begins from 06:50 AM. As you depart Darwin your Guide will continue to provide commentary about local tourist attractions and historical points of interest. You will then arrive at Batchelor Butterfly Farm to learn more about our brilliant Australian butterflies and experience the wonderful Animal Petting zoo. The children especially will enjoy feeding goats, chickens, ducks, rabbits pigs, donkeys and cows.
From here, we wind our way along the scenic drive to Litchfield National Park for your ultimate Litchfield
adventure! Swim and cool off in the blissful spring-fed waterfalls, take a guided walk in the tropical monsoon vine forests and experience nature in its finest form. Acquire knowledge and experience of bush foods and medicines that have being obtained from the Traditional people of Australia passed down from ancestors for thousands of years. Admire sandstone formations of the natural landscape and the abundant unique wildlife and birds protected in their natural habitat. Enjoy a specialized guided walking tour like no other, to the rocky bottom of Florence Falls via Shady
Creek. You can also choose to do a self-guided walk from Buley Rock Hole to Florence Falls. Or walk down the 135-length stairway.
LUNCH is at Tolmer Falls where you have the chance to view it from the lookout or do the walk around the top via an ancient cycad forest while your guide prepares a delicious meal.
At Wangi Falls you have many options:
Choose to walk to the top of the falls and watch the creek rush or trickle-down over sandstone cliffs.
Or choose to cool off and take it easy in the freshwater plunge pool below.
Also, there is the option to grab a cool drink or an ice-cream from the Wangi falls café.
For those choosing the 1-day Litchfield experience option, you will be provided with a pleasant drive back to your accommodation in Darwin and arrive after 5:00 PM.
